Message Preview appears to be missing Personalizations
When you click on the Preview button in a Draft message, you'll notice that the Personalizations don't seem to work.
Instead of:
Hi, Dwight!
or
Hi, {{First_Name}}!
You see:
Hi, !
Don't worry, this is intended. Currently, the Preview button doesn't know what Contact or Contacts to apply to the Preview , so Personalizations are ignored by Previews.
However, in an officially-sent message, NoteRouter knows who each recipient Contact is and Personalizations will be processed and personalized as normal.
Note: Personalizations will not show a value if a Contact does not have a value for that field. For example, let's say you write "Hi, {{contact_nickname}}!" in a message, but one Contact does not have a value for nickname. For that one Contact, the Personalization would appear as "Hi, !" in the message they are sent. For that reason, we recommend using Personalizations that all Contacts possess a value for.
